Comments from some of the teachers who have attended workshops in 2011:

The workshop made me realize how much good preparation can be done through pregnancy yoga to ease labour – before I had thought of it more as a way of staying calm and healthy during pregnancy, with much less emphasis on labour preparation, so this was an invaluable lesson.

Words can't describe how much I enjoyed the weekend, I feel I gained so much meeting such a wonderful group of people. The 3 most valuable aspects for me were questions answered so freely, extensive content and practical asana. It has made me even more enthusiastic about teaching in this field ……my views haven’t changed but my knowledge level has increased a lot.

My gratitude to you for setting it up Jane......... your wisdom, gentleness, compassion and humour are great to be around. I feel really enriched and inspired by the weekend.

Norah

Hello Jane and the pregnancy conscious crew,

Thanks for the photos, looking at them reminded me what a special time we had - I really want to thank you all for the contribution you made to the group. As the only one who had not had a baby (!) I now feel much more prepared to teach the next pregnant woman who comes to my class, but also for the event of maybe having one of my own.....one day!

Jane, a special thank you for your wonderfully led workshop and for sharing your depth of knowledge on the subject. I was very inspired by your wisdom and relaxed delivery (excuse the pun!)

Martha

Thank you for all the efforts Jane, it was perfect (workshop, students accommodation, ...everything =). I loved Ashridge, clean environment, amazing food. Jill and her husband are very lucky to have all that space and closeness to nature, I am grateful to have spent time there.

Thank you for doing all you do and being who you are.

Alaa

I have gained more confidence, and also realized that it's important to talk/teach for the post-natal period as well as the students approach the end of their pregnancies.

The two most valuable aspects of the workshop were firstly, direct contact with you, Jane, which really brought the content of the course to life. And second, meeting all those amazing women!

Clare

Thank you for putting on the workshop, which I really enjoyed. It was so lovely to be with other like-minded people. I learnt a lot from the weekend especially on the Sunday when you showed us some great postures. Thank you once again, if you ever need some midwifery input and Pam's busy just let me know.

Claudine (midwife)

Pam and Claudine’s (midwives) input was absolutely invaluable, their passion and dedication was inspiring but also information about the ways in which women are ill prepared for childbirth. This is what I came to learn and it was fabulous. I feel even more inspired and empowered to help women make positive choices in their birth preparation, help them be informed and aware of what they are preparing for. Very inspired and empowered to teach on this incredible yoga journey. My regular yoga class this evening had a new energy to it!

Rachel

Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the course. I feel it gave me a real boost to get going with my course work and I am extremely excited about starting to teach.
